Kuppet issues fresh instructions to teachers who missed July CBA

Kuppet has now issued fresh instructions after numerous complains of teachers who were not featured in the July CBA increment and promotions of teachers.

While writing to branch officials, Kuppet Secretary General expressed his concern over huge number of teachers who were not captured after joining the union a year ago.

“We  have  received  numerous  complaints  from  teachers  about  salary adjustments  in  this  final phase of CBA implementation.

Further,  we have noted that majority  of these teachers transferred their membership to KUPPET last year.

Kindly instruct these members to forward the complains in writing  to the Commission through our office so that we engage  the employer on the matter” read a letter by Kuppet Secretary General Akello Misori to Kuppet Branch Executive Secretaries earlier today.

Knut has already protested after its members missed the CBA phase four increment and the promotions of teachers in lower cadre. Through its Secretary General, Mr Wilson Sossion, Knut has instructed TSC to stop descimination and pay teachers their dues since the shs 54 billion was already budgeted for in Parliament.

Following this move teachers will have to submit the details earlier to beat the 9/8/2020 when Payroll is expected to close.
