Knut leadership converge in Bomet ahead of BBI rally

Knut top leadership led by its Secretary General Mr Wilson Sossion are set to rally teachers support for Building Bridget Initiative (BBI).

Sossion also has invited top political leaders for support during todays home coming party to celebrate his daughter as she is admitted to bars.

This weekend the BBI rally will be in Bomet county where Knut SG Mr Sossion is also hosting a number of Knut top national and branch officials at his home.

Early February this year Mr Sossion said all teachers will back the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report as well as the coming referendum.

Speaking during the fifth BBI forum at Narok Stadium, Sossion who is also a nominated MP had said the proposed expanded executive will ensure that all communities have a stake in government.

“With the BBI, all tribes will have a stake in government and the country will be peaceful,” he said.

Former Prime Minister Mr Raila Odinga has already arrived in Bomet and is been hosted by Mr Wilson Sossion at his residential home in Bomet.

However Knut suffered a blow after the BBI team failed to capture its proposals to disband TSC. Mr Sossion had proposed the Commission to be disbanded and made a department at the Ministry of Education.

There has been bad blood between Knut and TSC over issues which seem to be unending and insoluble.

Early this month TSC Knut got a boost after TSC reinstated twenty one out of forty teachers it had dismissed for disrupting CBC training which had planned to take place countrywide in April last year.
