Knec issues deadline on uploading scores and transfer of Grade 3 and 4 learners

The Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) has released a circular on what schools should do on Grade 4 and Grade 3 learners and their assessment scores.

Grade 4 learners sat their Formative Assessment tests last term. The examiner made available the 2020 Grade 4 Age Based and Intermediate Level Stage Based assessment tools by 7th March 2021 for schools to access and use.

Schools were also given till 19th March 2021 to upload Grade 4 scores to the Knec online portal.

“Schools are therefore expected to download and administer the assessment tools; score; and upload the Grade 4 learners’ assessment scores on the KNEC Competency Based Assessment portal cba.knec.ac.ke between 8th and 19th March 2021,” the examiner had said.

However following challenges in submitting scores Knec reviewed the deadline for iploading Grade 4 scores.

Knec had also released a circular in January directing schools how administration of Grade 3 assessment will be done.

Grade 3 learners sat for their KEYA assessment tests this term and schools are in process of uploading scores. However they started with ILA assessment last term and are expected to join Grade 4 when schools reopen next term.
