Masinde Muliro University students have warned the institution’s workers’ unions against undermining the management. The students’ organisation told lecturers and other university staff to instead focus on their work and not mayhem.
The police have allowed the institution’s academic and non-academic staff to stage demonstrations against Vice Chancellor Fredrick Otieno.
They warned the unions against disrupting learning at the university. “We don’t want interruption to the academic calendar with strikes and demonstrations,” said Ms Esther Nyaboke, the student’s union vice chair.
