RE: INVITATION TO THE ANNUAL AGRICULTURE WORKSHOP FOR TEACHERS – 2021

Machakos Boys High School will be holding its annual Agriculture workshop for teachers on 19th September 2021.

This is an annual event during which Agriculture teachers interact and share teaching experiences, evaluation and assessment especially in KCSE exams.

Theme for the day is “Redefining excellent“.

The purpose of this letter is to invite you to this workshop starting 9:00nam.

The following areas will be discussed;

1) The future and importance of Agriculture to the teacher

2) Attitude change, assessment and evaluation in Paper 1 and Paper 2

3) Effective syllabus coverage and motivation of learners

4) Assessment and importance of project

Each participating teacher is required to register with Kshs 2,000 to cater for meals, facilitation and certificates.

RE: 5TH NATIONAL LITERATURE AND LANGUAGE SUMMIT

With permission from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC), Kisumu County, we hereby invite you to the above workshop on Saturday 4th September 2021 at the University of Nairobi, Kisumu Campus.

Training will be on the following key areas;

1) Review of 2020 KCSE and 2021 KCSE projection

2) Inquiry Based Learning Strategies in the Teaching of Literature and Language

3) Setting and Testing of English at KNEC level

4) Literary exploitation of the new set tests

Participation fee of Kshs 2,500 per teacher will be charged to defray the initial expenses.

Writing, teaching and revision materials, certificate of participation and full meal will be served as part of the workshop offers.

Through the directives of Ministry of Health, the workshop will be conducted under strict COVID-19 measures to curb the spread of CORONAVIRUS.

All participants must;

1) Wear mask

2) Sanitize

3) Wash hands with soap

4) Maintain social distance
