The Centre for Mathematics, Science and Technology Education in Africa (CEMASTEA) has released new dates for online training of junior secondary school (JSS) teachers.
This is after the initial training schedule set by the centre flopped also as most targeted teachers were unaware.
The training which is purely online was to take one day on Monday 16th June 2025 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm.
However this has been postponed to give trainers ample time for preparation before they can train the over 20,000 JSS teachers.
The virtual teacher training will now take four days and will be done on 30th June, 1st July, 2nd July and 3rd July 2025.
CEMASTEA has invited junior school teachers including P1 teachers who were deployed their but are yet to receive the training.
A total of 20,000 JSS teachers recruited recently on a one year internship term will also be part of the training.
Below is a circular that was initially sent to various regional directors regarding the training that has since been postponed.
