Home of English North Rift (Uasin Gishu and EMC Chapter) in collaboration with T.S.C, KESSHA and Longhorn have the pleasure to invite teachers of English in your school to our third one day English workshop to be held on 21st August 2021 at ELDORET G.K. HIGH SCHOOL Social Hall in Eldoret starting 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The workshop seeks to enable teachers of English handle examination classes, review trends in setting and marking of English papers, share experiences on emerging issues, review introduction of new set books and form a strong network for sharing content and ideas.
The following will be items of facilitation;
a) Handling KCSE paper 1, 2 and 3
b) Language boosting programs in schools
c) Handling two examination classes in 2022
d) Making English a booster subject
e) Programs and strategies for forms one to three
f) Review of new set books
Each participant will be awarded with a certificate of participation, refreshments and writing materials (Make your own arrangement for purchase of reference materials that will be available on display).
Participation fee will be kshs 2,000 per teacher.
Covid-19 protocols shall be strictly observed.
The workshop will be opened by KESSHA Chairman Uasin Gishu County and closed by TSC County Director Uasin Gishu County.

RE: THE BUSINESS STUDIES TEACHERS CAPACITY BUILDING AUGUST – 2021
Gendia High School invites teachers of Business Studies from your school for a two day Business Studies Workshop to be held on 25/8/2021 and 26/8/2021 at GENDIA HIGH SCHOOL as from 8:00 a.m
The training will cover the following areas among others;
a) Strategies of effective teaching and syllabus coverage
b) Taking candidates through how to answer questions in Paper 1 and Paper 2
c) Testing and evaluation of Business Studies
d) Effective marking of Paper 2
This will be facilitated by experienced Business Studies teachers.
Kshs 2,500/- per teachers will be charged to cater for stationery, meals, certification and facilitation.

RE: THE LONGHORN NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 2021
The Longhorn Geography Association is a group of distinguished Geography teachers, Authors and Examiners.
It is a team of dedicated teachers who have produced good results consistently for a long period of time in Kenya National Examination Council (KCSE) examinations.
In light of this, we invite your school (teachers) for a two days National Geography Workshop scheduled for Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August 2021 during the half term at Kisumu School.
The training will cover the following among others;
i. Current teaching and setting standards
ii. Effective marking of test items
iii. Elimination of low grades that is ‘C’ plain and below
This will be done by Geography experts from Paper 1 and 2. Book writers will facilitate. There will also be sharing of experiences from teachers from best practices on;
• Early Syllabus Coverage
• Revision strategies
• New trends in teaching Geography
• Increasing the Enrollment
Kshs 3,000 per teacher will be charged to cater for stationery, Meals (10 O’clock tea and Lunch and refreshments for two days) Certificates and facilitation.

RE: SECOND NATIONAL HISTORY WORKSHOP
You are invited to attend the aforementioned workshop which will be held on Saturday 28th August 2021 from 8:30am to 3:00pm at the University of Nairobi, Kisumu Campus.
Training will be on the following key areas:
1). Review of 2020 KCSE and 2021 KCSE projection.
2). Inquiry based Learning Strategies in the Teaching of History and Government.
3). Setting and Testing of History and Government at KNEC level.
4). An indepth analysis of History Paper 1 & Paper 2 and the emerging details.
5). Setting foundation in History and Government and devising strategies in eliminating low grades.
Participation fee of Kshs2,500 per teacher will be charged to defray the initial expenses. Writing, teaching and revision materials, certificate of participation and meals will be served as part of the workshop offers.
Through the directives of Ministry of Health, the workshop will be conducted under strict COVID-19 measures to curb the spread of CORONAVIRUS.

3). Wash hands with soap.
4). Maintain social distance.
