Below are some subject workshops scheduled to take place this August at National level.
MINT: KONGAMANO LA KITAIFA LA WALIMU WA KISWAHILI WA SHULE ZA UPILI NCHINI KENYA
Kwa mara nyingine,ldara ya Kiswahili ya shule ya upili ya Nakuru ikishirikiana na Nuru ya Lugha — Radio Maisha na Kampuni ya Uchapishaji ya East African Educational Publishers(EAEP) Wana fahari kuwaalika walimu wapendwa wa lugha ashirafu ya Kiswahili wa shule yako kuhudhuria Kongamano kila mwaka la Kitaifa la Walimu wa Kiswahili litakalofanyika katika ukumbi mkubwa sana wa shule ya kitaifa ya Nakuru siku ya Ijumaa tarehe 13 Agosti,2021 kuanzia saa tatu asubuhi hadi Saa nane adhuhuri.
Kikao kitashughulikia mambo yafuatayo
I. Kanuni mpya katika utahini wa karatasi zote tatu za Kiswahili.
2. Masuala ibuka katika mitihani ya Kiswahili na namna ya kuyajibu MaswalL
3. Namna ya kuwaandaa wanafunzi na kupata matokeo bora katika somo la Kiswahili.
5. Vitabu vipya vya fasihi
Tumewaalika watahini wakuu wa karatasi zote tatu za Kiswahili ambao walihusika katika usimamizi na usahihishaji wa KCSE 2020 na wanatajiriba ya juu na ndefu katika ufundishaji, utahini na uandishi wa vitabu vya kaida, miongozo, marudio na marejeleo katika viwango vya shule za upiIi.
Aidha baadhi ya waandishi wa vitabu vipya vya fasihi watakuwepo kuzungumzia kwa ujumla kazi zao.
Kanda za Video za vitabu vya fasihi ,vitabu vya Kiswahili na vitabu vya marudio vitakuwepo kwa bei nafuu.
Jopo la Nuru ya Lugha – Radio Maisha likiongozwa na nahodha Mshtiti Hassan Mwana wa Ali litakuwepo.
Kila mwalimu mshiriki anaombwa kujisajili kwa kulipa shilingi elfu mbili (Kshs 2000) siku hiyo. Pesa hizo Zitagharamia maandalizi, vyeti na shughuli nyinginezo. Kila mshiriki atapewa vitabu viwili vya Kiswahili.

RE: MACHAKOS SCHOOL NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 2021
The Machakos National Geography Workshop is composed of a group of senior and distinguished Geography teachers and senior examiners.
These teachers have consistently produced excellent results in KCSE exam.
In this regard we hereby invite your school teachers for a one day National Geography workshop scheduled for 14th August 2021 at Machakos School in Machakos County.
The training will cover the following areas among others:
l. The current Examination trend.
2. Effective teaching and setting of Geography.
3. Effective marking of test items.
4. Elimination of low grades ‘C’ plain and below in the Geography subject.
5. Effective syllabus coverage in the subject Geography and motivation of learners.
This will be done by Geography experts in PP1 and PP2, among them Mr. Alietsi from Kabarak High School.
The participating teachers will also have time to share their experiences.
Kshs 2000 per teachers will be charged to cater for stationery, meals (10.00 am tea and Lunch), certificate and facilitation.

RE: THE LONGHORN NATIONAL GEOGRAPHY WORKSHOP 2021
The Longhorn Geography Association is a group of distinguished Geography teachers, Authors and Examiners.
It is a team of dedicated teachers who have produced good results consistently for a long period of time in Kenya National Examination Council (KCSE) examinations.
In light of this, we invite your school (teachers) for a two days National Geography Workshop scheduled for Friday 27th and Saturday 28th August 2021 during the half term at Kisumu School.
The training will cover the following among others;
i. Current teaching and setting standards
ii. Effective marking of test items
iii. Elimination of low grades that is ‘C’ plain and below
This will be done by Geography experts from Paper 1 and 2. Book writers will facilitate. There will also be sharing of experiences from teachers from best practices on;
• Early Syllabus Coverage
• Revision strategies
• New trends in teaching Geography
• Increasing the Enrollment
Kshs 3,000 per teacher will be charged to cater for stationery, Meals (10 O’clock tea and Lunch and refreshments for two days) Certificates and facilitation.
