In pnp recruitment the Commission awards 50 marks in its scoresheet for teachers who have served TSC on internship terms making their confirmation unstoppable.

The 20,000 JSS teachers will also be retooled on the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and Competency Based Assessment (CBA).

TSC will also pay the teachers stipend with arrears in February 2025 after school heads of institutions (HOI) bungled with the online casualty submission process.

The Teacher Internship Programme is a one year programme meant to equip and sustain competencies of persons entering the teaching service.

The programme targets unemployed registered teachers to be assigned to learning institutions where their teaching experience will be enhanced through mentorship, coaching and exposure to practical teaching experience.

The internship period will be for twelve months though majority of the 46,000 interned teachers served for two years.

On successful completion of the Internship Programme, teacher interns will be awarded a certificate.
