RECRUITMENT OF TEACHERS IN GARISSA, WAJIR AND MANDERA COUNTIES

The Teachers Service Commission is re-advertising 844 posts (764 posts for Primary Schools and 80 posts for Secondary Schools) for teachers on Permanent and Pensionable terms to fill vacancies in Garissa, Wajir and Mandera Counties.

Eligibility

To qualify for recruitment, a candidate should meet the following minimum requirements:

i) Be a Kenyan citizen.

ii) Must be hailing from Garissa, Mandera or Wajir Counties;

iii) Must be teaching under Board of Management in Garissa, Mandera or Wajir Counties, if not hailing from the 3 counties;

iv) Must be registered teacher with Teachers Service Commission;

v) Must be a holder of a P1 certificate in the case of primary schools and a minimum of a Diploma in Education in the case of secondary schools.

Mode of Application

Interested and qualified candidates should submit their applications online through the Teachers Service Commission’s website, www.tsc.go.ke under ‘Careers’ or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke not later than 7th July, 2022.

General Information

Please note that:

i) The Teachers Service Commission Recruitment Guidelines 2022/2023 Financial Year (available in the Teachers Service Commission’s website:  www.tsc.go.ke shall apply.

ii) The list of shortlisted candidates, interview dates and venues will be published on the Teachers Service Commission’s website by 15th July, 2022.

iii) Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates.

iv) Successful candidates must not fill more than one Application  for  Employment Form. Filling of two or more Application for Employment Forms will lead to disqualification.

v) Manual applications will not be considered.

vi) Successful candidates will be posted to serve in any  part of the region and not necessarily in the county or school where they were interviewed.

vii) Merit lists generated during this recruitment for both primary and secondary schools will be used in subsequent recruitment processes within the financial year.

The Teachers Service Commission is  also re-advertising 386 posts (114 posts  for Primary Schools and 272 posts for Secondary Schools) for teachers on contractual terms of service to fill vacancies in Garissa, Wajir and Mandera Counties.
