The Commission received close to two hundred thousands applications from teachers.
This year TSC has also been allocated similar funds for promoting teachers across all cadres.
Speaking during supervision of KCSE 2024 exams, TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia said the Commission has been allocated sh. 1 billion for promotion of teachers in December.
Of the 36,505 vacancies advertised in September last year, 17,914 were for primary school teachers.
The interviews for primary school teachers were done from 4th to 15th December 2023.
Secondary school teachers and Teacher Training College (TTC) tutors had their interviews running from 3rd to 16th January 2024.
However many teachers criticized last years promotion interviews claiming they were marred with corruption and lacked merit.
The application for promotion will be done online after which a list of shortlisted candidates will be released.
Interview dates will be issued for candidates who will also be required to appear with the following documents during the exercise.
1) Original National ID Card
2) Original Academic and Professional Certificates
3) Letter of appointment to the current Grade
4) Letter of appointment to the current post (where applicable)
5) Analysed individual subject results in KCPE/KCSE Examinations for the last three years, certified by TSC County Directors/Sub County Directors.
6) Performance Appraisal Reports for the last three years
7) Any other relevant testimonials supporting your performance
Well done our CO for the good work to our teachers.God bless you for the good work.
Many teachers were left out and had met all the requirements and Even gone behold the expectations.Especially SNE teachers in some sub counties none was considered in some grades.A graduate teacher stagnating for 9 year in one grade with a letter of appointment from TSC as a senior teacher dated 5/1/2012 and was left out at C2.Too unfortunate.
I request, you consider teachers who were issued with regret letters first for promotion. Come December.
Just nonsense. I can’t afford to present myself before such biased people. How can one community be given promotion in a staff of 65,promotion given to 5 people from one tribe in a cosmopolitan area??? Useless.
Thumb up to madam CEO. I know many were much affected but God’s time is the BEST. Am sure it’s my time. God help me excel. AMEN.
The HOIs were at the Coast Las
wee kujitetea kivyao ……..nobody talked of promotion of his/ her classroom teachers…!!!!
Kenya hii haki ni ngumu…..sisi walimu wa mkono,/ class ni nani atakusaidia??????
What if those teachers owning degrees since April 2013 still in c2 although promoted last year, why not them be considered as it used to be for some are retiring with their wonderful certificates. Please think about them.
I can’t waste what I don’t have to photostat my credentials any more time….instead I am quitting…..kwani job ni hii ya pesa kidogo hivo after taking loans to further studies….
Please Dr.Nancy Macharia,,,,as you promote teachers,, remember we have p1 teachers suffering outside here without employments. 10 years since graduation, yet no hopes. Please I beg you ,employ us madam.
Plz consider c3 to c4 they are not many reduce term to 8month plz we are returning soon
This country is very unfair to TRS who have clean papers. A graduate since 2014 yet in grade C1
AND WE R Teaching learners and telling them that EDUCATION is the key.
No it’s a padlock locking one out of excellence.
Those who joined the informal sectors with Ds can employ several teachers.
Interviews in some counties& subcounties are marred by corruptions and nepotisms. I appeal to CEO to consider promotions for stagnated teachersfor quite sometime be automatic.
Why do those trs in C3 &C4who were deployed to JSS can’t be considered for administration posts in pry since they are in pry which has the JSS
I have taught for the last 30 years with no promotion at all.Its very demorolising
Tsc should give us automatic promotion from the headquarters after stagnating in One grade for 5 yrs and above. Interviews at county and sub county levels are pathetic we may retire b4 getting to the next grade.-God have mercy on the less fortunate.
Consider P1 teachers with degrees for Junior school with C plain at KCSE.
I am a degree holder teaching in a special school for the last 10years not receiving special salary allowance and no promotion.I have attended interviews three times . I believe the age of the teacher should be given priority for sure.I am demoralised .we don’t fail the interviews.our CEO check on what happens.Tsc no.31…… no promotion and tsc no.64……already a h/teacher.NO
The portal for application is not going through,I have traid several times but not going through.please accord any assistance,
Please consider c2 they are least forgotten and given few slots
This interviews should be conducted at regional level to curb corruption and nepotism
This interviews should be conducted at regional level to curb corruption and nepotism
It is very unfair to leave out P1 teachers who have stagnated for more. than 20yrs .They should be given automatic promotions.
The head teachers didn’t touch on the jss teachers who are teaching subjects they are not competen in.
i hope the december interviews will be fair. last time i sat for the interview in january 2024 but my regret letter is dated 15th december 2023. i wonder how
Am Hilda Wawira kina TSC 287677av taught for the last 35yrs andam retiring march 2025.my worry is am retiring at job group C1and I have a diploma year 2015and av never been promoted.the promotion conducted 2023 last year I was not promoted neither was I served with regret letter.now do I qualify for that promotion?or I will retire regretting why I opted to be a teacher
What happened to the posts of Senior Masters 2 &1 ? Why are they never advertised? Not everyone will be deputy principal. Why should a secondary sch teacher retire in C5 (Senior Master 3)after serving the nation diligently for over 30 years and produced excellent results every year, when he or she can climb two more ranks to D1 & D2? Where is the fairness in the CPG?
We hope TSC is going to promote teachers who excelled in co- curriculum activities and represented the country in the East Africa Games (FEASSSA) like it did in 2023
Give the link so that we can apply I missed that of November 2024
Been waiting eagerly ,till when?
We were told in December there will advertisement for mass promotion, still for the advertisement, surely I’m tired for being C1 , I wonder what is happening in tsc , when I was already in someone was still in TTC,as I’m talking she is C2 yet I’m still in C1 plz come up clearly.
Am so much demoralized after cpg got me stagnated in C1 for long…TSC just know that 2023 promotion interviews were crowned with corruption… Promote aged teachers in C1 and those who even sacrificed to teach JS without degrees and did it perfectly when there was a gap in the start.
