RE: SUSPENSION OF UTILISATION OF RESULTS-BASED SCHOOL GRANTS (RBSG) FUNDS

The Ministry of Education through the Kenya Primary Education Equity in Learning (KPEEL) Program disbursed the second tranche of the Results-based School Grants (RBSG) to the bank accounts of target 5,422 schools in early October 2025 to support the implementation of Year 2 priorities as outlined in the approved School Improvement Plans (SIPS).

However, following concerns raised by stakeholders on the utilization of the SIP Grants, it has been decided that all target schools implementing the RBSG intervention under the KPEEL Program suspend any further utilization of the grant funds, including payments and procurements, with immediate effect as from 13th November, 2025.

You are therefore requested to communicate this directive urgently to the respective target SIP Schools within your jurisdiction for prompt compliance with this directive pending further guidance from the Ministry.
