Knec announces assessment dates for Grade 3, 4 and 5

To:

1.  Sub County Directors of Education

2.  All Heads of Primary schools

3.  All Heads of Special primary schools

RE: ADMINISTRATION OF THE YEAR 2021 COMPETENCY BASED ASSESSMENTS (CBA)

1.0     The Kenya  National  Examinations Council will upload the  following Competency Based Assessment (CBA) tools on the KNEC Portal:

1.1      Monitoring  Learners Progress (MLP) assessment tools for Grades 3 and Foundation  level for Special Needs Education (SNE).

1.2     School  based assessment tools for Grades 4, 5 and Intermediate level for Special  Needs Education (SNE).

2.0     Schools are therefore expected to download the assessment tools and instructions then administer, score and upload the assessment outcomes on the KNEC portal.

3.0     To access the assessment portal, Headteachers are required to login onto the CBA  portal: https://cba.knec.ac.ke.  

Any school that will have forgotten their password should contact their respective sub county education offices for a new password.

4.0      Headteachers are requested to keep all records generated from the assessments.

5.0     The materials required for performing the assessment tasks should be obtained from the immediate school  environment or improvised as much as is possible.

6 .0     The tools will be uploaded as shown below:

    What happens to the teachers who want to get TSC no. And yet there is no proficiency or certificate for ECDE?

      Do you mean a TSC number to be issued to a person without any form of teacher training ama? plz expound whats your qualification so you can be issued with the number

      You cant visit TSC offices for such just apply online the service is available
