Hundreds of teachers benefit from online digital training

The training organized by African Digital Schools Initiative is targetting four counties to train teachers on digital content technologies.

The Non-Governmental Organization is currently training two hundred and eighty teachers in Narok county from twenty schools.

The teachers according to the program director will have technology to create digital content that will help with online learning.

Moi Naikarra Secondary School Principal said his school has benefitted immensely from the program which has equipped their computer lab with twenty one desktops and eight laptops.

“We actually thank the organization which has provided us with 21 desktops and 8 laptops which will assist our learners a lot cause we had a computer lab but were unable to conduct computer studies approriately for lack of gadgets,” Mr. Kuyo said.

Mr. Kuyo also said the computers have come at the right time when there is a lot of emphasis on use of digital content to slow the spread of Covid-19.

He said it will be of great help to teachers with underlying issues who will be able to carry out lessons without necessarily attending to their physical classes.

His counterpart Principal Jane Kirui said the program has helped to keep her girls in the school.
