Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Meru County have launched a manhunt for a boda boda rider said to have defiled an 8-year-old school girl.
The DCI, in a statement, said the suspect offered the girl a ride to her home in Baibariu, Igembe Central, only to divert to his house along the way where he allegedly committed the act.
“He later dropped the helpless minor near their homestead before taking into hiding,” read the statement.
“As the victim receives medical attention at a local hospital, manhunt for the suspected paedophile continues.”
