Two high school Principals and a primary school Headteacher were today involved in a grisly accident along Solio road.
Mr. Mwathi Gituku Nyamu, principal of Karaba Secondary School, his wife Eunice Njoki Mwathi, head teacher at Mariakani Primary School and Mr. Peterson lrungu Mwangi, principal Thome Mixed Day Secondary School died shortly after the accident.
TSC CEO Dr Nancy Macharia sent a message of condolence following the tragic accident;
“The Teachers Service Commission has learnt with a lot of sadness the death of two principals and a head teacher from Laikipia County:
Mr. Mwathi Gituku Nyamu, principal of Karaba Secondary School, his wife Eunice Njoki Mwathi, head teacher at Mariakani Primary School and Mr. Peterson lrungu Mwangi, principal Thome Mixed Day Secondary School.
The three lost their lives in a grisly road accident along the Nyahururu- Nyeri road at Solio ranch stretch.
As lead administrators who dedicated their lives to improve the wellbeing of Kenyan learners, they leave a big gap in the teaching fraternity.
They will be forever remembered for their tremendous contribution to the provision of quality education.
