Junior school teachers to supervise KJSEA & invigilate KPSEA

The junior secondary school (JSS) teachers will supervise the 2025 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment (KJSEA) 2025.

This was revealed by the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) which has also ordered for deployment of the teachers to work as invigilators in the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).

The JSS teachers will be assisted by primary school teachers who will also supervise and invigilate the KJSEA.

The teachers who were also trained as KJSEA examiners will on December take part in marking and scoring of KJSEA 2025.

However only primary school teachers will supervise the Grade 6 KPSEA.

Knec has spelt strict deployment rules for teachers this year to curb exam cheating.

According to Knec, TSC Sub County Directors shall only deploy teachers who are registered and employed by TSC.

The deployed teachers must not have served in the same school for the last three years.

Learners will be sitting for KPSEA, KJSEA, KPLEA, KILEA and KCSE exams and assessments.

Knec has directed that only primary school teachers to invigilate the 2025 KCSE exams. However only secondary school teachers will be supervising it.

The KCSE supervisors will be rotated weekly as Knec seek to address rampant exam malpractices.

Each KPSEA and KJSEA exam centre will have only one supervisor assisted by invigilators except those with more than 200 candidates.

Knec said it will activate the CP2 portal on from 26th September to allow deployment of teachers.

Teachers will then create CP2 accounts, login and download the deployment letters which show duties and responsibilities.
