RE: ADMINISTRATION OF THE KENYA EDUCATION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (KEMIS) TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS QUESTIONNAIRE

The Ministry of Education through the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), in collaboration with key stakeholders, is in the process of strengthening and rebranding the National Education Management Information System (KEMIS) to enhance data driven decision making, efficiency, and service delivery across the education sector.

As part of this process, we are conducting a Training Needs Analysis (TNA) to identify capacity building requirements for various cadres of officers who will use and manage the upgraded KEMIS.

This exercise will ensure that training programs are tailored to the specific roles, responsibilities, and technical needs of all stakeholders.

Your office is quite critical in this initiative. You are therefore requested to facilitate the administration of digital questionnaires to the officers under your purview under the following categories:

1) Operational Level (School Level): Principals, Head Teachers, Deputies, Teachers, Boards of Management (BOM).

2) Administrative Level: County Directors of Education (CDEs), Sub County Directors of Education (SCDEs), Quality Assurance and Standards Officers (QASOS), Internal School Auditors.

Please share this communication with Education Officials, Secondary School Principals and Principals of the Comprehensive school under your jurisdiction to mobilize relevant participants to respond to the questionnaires suitable to their category.

Your cooperation and timely support in enabling the participation of your officers will be invaluable to the success of this initiative.

The questionnaire is available at the KEMI website through the following link: https://kemi.ac.ke/survey
