The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has responded after teachers informed it through its social media platforms that they are unable to place applications for promotions.
Teachers said since 18th December the online application is not working hence hampering the promotion application exercise.
TSC has responded saying it will address the online platform to allow the application.
However the Commission remained tight lipped on whether it will extend the application period to compensate for the lost time.
The Commission had on 17th December declared a total of 19,943 promotion slots for teachers to apply online.
TSC has invited teachers from primary to post primary to apply online for the promotion vacancies.
TSC has given qualified teachers till the midnight of 30th December, 2024 to place an application.
TSC advertised promotion vacancies from the highest job group, Chief Principal at grade D5 to the lowest job group, Senior Teacher II at grade C2, for teachers to apply.

TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia said successful candidates shall be posted to schools where vacancies are available.
The Commission listed requirements teachers must possess in each application slots.
Successful candidates will also be required to produce Chapter 6 documents before they are confirmed into their positions.
