VACANCIES FOR PRINCIPALS, DEPUTY PRINCIPALS, HEADTEACHERS AND DEPUTY HEADTEACHERS
The Teachers Service Commission is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 237 (1) of the Constitution.
Pursuant to its mandate, the Commission invites applications from suitably qualified teachers for the following posts in line with the Career Progression Guidelines.

Interested candidates, who meet the required qualifications, should submit their applications online through the TSC portal – www.teachersonline.go.ke to be received latest 18th November, 2024 at Midnight.

ADVERT NO. 01/2024 (D2-D3): PRINCIPAL (POST PRIMARY) T-SCALE 13 – 755 POSTS
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –
- have served as Deputy Principal II/Senior Master I, T-Scale 12 for a minimum period of six (6) Months;
- have obtained a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process;
- have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers; and
- meet any other requirement deemed necessary by the Commission.
ADVERT NO. 02/2024 (C5-D1): DEPUTY PRINCIPAL III (POST PRIMARY) T-SCALE 11 – 816 POSTS
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –
- have served as Senior Master III T-Scale 10 for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- have obtained a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process;
- have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers;
- meet any other requirement deemed necessary by the Commission.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –
- have served as Deputy Head Teacher II TSC Scale 9 for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process;
- have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers; and
- meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –
- have served as Senior Teacher I T- Scale 8 for a minimum period of three (3) years;
- have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal;
- have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers; and
- meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.

And what of D1to D2
Imagine we were deployed from primary to Jss as C3 ,We didn’t benefit anything and now we are locked out from applying primary deputy post.please consider us , because our colleagues we were with in the same grade have now moved to C5.
TSC is again promoting administrators forgetting long forgotten and ignored classroom teachers who have stayed for years in one scale….No body seems to note the poor struggling teachers….some have retired with power scales and neglected by both Tsc and ministry of education…..
I am quite interested and have even offered severally to serve in various duties as have been assigned to me by my senior administrators and have been responding accordingly.
Hope this time round,I shall meet my calling.

I’ve done the same as Samwel Kibet.I was appointed as a senior teacher in 2016 but didn’t receive my letter for that post I’ve acted for 10years I have been attending interviews and have written letters to my employer claiming my post as per the appointment.I hope this round I shall be considered.Thanks in advance.
Why not use the clip of six months acting Tsc does not want to promote administrators but subject them to acting who knows till when
t s c should consider teachers who have been acting in various in various administrative posts. some of them have acted for more than ten years.
