TEACHERS SERVICE COMMISSION

NOMINEE TO THE SALARIES AND REMUNERATION COMMISSION (1 POST)

Pursuant to the provisions of Article 230 (2) (b) (iv) of the Constitution of Kenya (2010) and Section 5(2) of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission Act (2011), the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) invites applications from suitably qualified persons to be nominated to represent T.S.C. in the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.

A person shall qualify for nomination to this post if the person: –

1. (a) holds a Bachelor of Education degree from a University recognized in Kenya;

(b) has had a distinguished career in education field with knowledge and experience of at least ten (10) years.

2. Meets the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution. In this regard, copies of clearance from the following bodies must be attached: –

i. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC);
ii. Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
iii. Certificate of good conduct from Kenya Police;
iv. Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); and
v. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)

3. A person shall not be qualified for nomination if the person:-

i. is a member of Parliament or County Assembly;
ii. is a member of a Governing body of a Political Party;
iii. is an undischarged bankrupt; or
iv. has been removed from office for contravening the provisions of the Constitution or any other law.
