Candidates who want to join Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) and study Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE) and Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) can now apply on KUCCPS portal.
The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has opened the portal for candidates who sat for KCSE exams from 2020 to 2022 to apply online.
The entry grade has been revised for both DPTE and DECTE. Only a mean grade of C (plain) is required for application and ksh 1,500 which will be paid via Mpesa to KUCCPS.

Initially candidates were required to have met minimum of C (plain) in subject clusters but that condition has now been removed.
The five subject condition will now not be used for placing candidates into TTC so long as one has mean grade of C (plain) he/she qualifies to join to study teaching course.
