Grade 6 learners will sit for their final assessment in primary school. The assessment will be known as Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).
The learners will do thirteen subjects i.e. i) Mathematics ii) English iii) Kiswahili iv) Kenyan Sign Language v) Science & Technology vi) Physical and Health Education vii) Agriculture viii) Home Science ix) Social Studies x) Art and Craft xi) Christian Religious Education (CRE) xii) Islamic Religious Education (IRE) xiii) Hindu Religious Education (HRE).
The subjects will however be combined to have five exam papers. Mathematics, English and Kiswahili. Integrated Sciences (IS) will combine Science and Technology and will cover Home Science, Agriculture, and Physical Health while Creative Art and Social Sciences (CASS) will combine Art and Craft, Music, Social Studies and Religious Education (CRE, IRE and HRE).
KPSEA will have a total of 100 per cent. The learners will have a 60 per cent of the score coming from School Based Assessment (SBA) which they did in Grade Four, Five and Six and 40 per cent from this final summative assessment.
Now the KPSEA exams will have 5 question papers. All questions are multiple choice questions with no Composition and no Insha.

Activities for teachers
1. (a) List all the strands in your learning area from Grade 4 – 6 as given in the curriculum design.
(b) Create a chart of strands and sub strands in your learning area from grade 4 – 6.
2. (a) Identify the strands tested in in your learning area using a KNEC paper.
(b) Identify which strands have more questions than others.

How can the government mix the small ones with grown up who are alreadyin there adolescent.. why can’t they allow schools to accommodate and continue with the normal.. children will be forced to come back home with trauma… God help us 😪

Everything is okay… except for the kids going to junior secondary school… where they’ll be mixed with grown up students…to me it’s not a good idea…let junior secondary be done in the primary schools then senior secondary be done in highschools…
