As other schools are celebrating their good grades in Bomet county a school has made history by breaking a different record.
In Chingondi Primary School the top candidate scored 137 marks in the recent released Kenya Certificate of Primary Examinations (KCPE) results.
The candidate scored 24% in English 10% in Kiswahili 17% in Mathematics 32% in Science and 23% in Social Studies all summing up to 137 marks.
The school which had an entry of seventeen candidates registered a mean score of 86.04 marks.
Shocking enough the last candidate only managed to get 44 marks out of the possible 500.
He scored 15% in English 6% in Kiswahili 17% in Mathematics 3% in Science and 3% in Social Studies.
Other means scores included 67, 72, 79, 86, 60, 110. Generally the school recorded poor performance i the 2021 KCPE exams.
The performance of Chingondi Primary is a reflection of public School. These institutions have no business engaging in examination malpractice. Unlike their private counterparts who would cross fire to avoid this. The results are reflective. Those are the teachers & pupils of Chingondi. Let’s appreciate them with Their effort. After all this is what examination is all about. PASSING AND FAILING.
Haha only God knows why
Teachers have to assessed…moreso was learning taking place?
If one score is 2 marks in mathematics
How does one get 17
That’s 2 yrs ahead of their CBC class, so what do we expect
Throughout our training in TTC
We never had such objective that a learner should pass exam.
These learners most likely could neither read nor comprehend.Tusome programme never succeeded here.Quality assurance nil
People should play with the future of our kids.something MUST be done
Whoever said that is a reflective of public school where cheating does not take place is unreasonable.Kwani wewe ulipata ngapi?70
How can candidate score 17% in maths whereby one tick stands for 2%? I don’t think that this information is true!
Are you really from Kenya!!?,,,and if so did you really do KCPE or you did drop out before!!??
Does it mean that without cheating, no school and/or candidates can excel in KNEC Exans?
Those results are completely lies coz how does more than 10 students score the same marks in two different subjects. Again idex 001 sst/r results one can clearly see initially it was 03(just like the rest) then it was changed to 23. Kindly give this kids their genuine results. They have dreams, the have a future please don’t kill their dreams this early. It is the generation we are raising for tomorrow
God will not give peace to those teachers. It is like they never attended the learners even once. They can’t expect their children to prosper while they are dumbing other people’s children. Parents and the community at large are to blame too. Something wrong somewhere
Bruh every question has their own marks like u can find a question has half a mark while another has three
I can’t believe, this is spoiling the names of the teachers
An exam is a measurement tool in education. In the above case the teachers objective during evaluation was never met
It is disheartening, discouraging and demoralises the teacher when pupils score such low marks.
I find It misguiding when others here call names to teachers and even cursing them.
When students fail, there could be a myriad of factors contributing to that:
1. Talk of the teaching personnel…availability/qualifications
2. Teaching resources availability
3. Infrustractural availability like classrooms in the school and
4. Availability of funds ro run the school as required among others.
Surely does it mean no one cares about these children and their future? Very sad.
They have began their lives on a very low note and it shall take a miracle to catch up
@anonymous in kcpe every question has its own grading depending on the topic and the ease of attempting the question…like the first question usually contains ½-1 marks because it’s a very cheap question while the construction question contains 8-10 marks because it’s kinda tough….so getting 17 or 81 is very possible
Don’t destroy school name,
All I can say is hardwork pays
In kisii Chingondi means sheep.anyway I wish the candidates the best in life not everyone is defined by education.
All teachers in this school should be retrained. They too have a serious problem that must be sorted out.Otherwise more children will suffer.
How now????
Contrary, this should actually be results for a private institution where it’s money that takes center stage and not quality. Does this school have a headteacher? Are teachers trained? Are they paid from the tax payers cofers? And who are the parents of these pupils? What are the roles of the county education managers? The questions can go on and on…. No one should the pupils here. Something must be done here. I don’t think there’s scientific connection between what there parents scored at kcpe and the actual results as a friend here is intimating…
It’s not the end of the lives of the teachers and candidates owing to their failure to achieve the desired scores in the past completed KCPE. Many of those who had E’s and D’s are currently billionaires as compared to those of A’s and B’s of recognized institutions. Whether it’s a matter of success or failure we’re all equal. I triply congratulate the teachers and candidates for doing all their best they could instead of stealing exams.
We may talk much about the results but have considered the environment the candidates were in during learning and exams?
Today’ is fools day so let’s be careful
This poor performance could be lack of commitment from the side of teachers and the administration should be checked.
April Fools Day!
April Fools Day!
Fake news!! The first marks don’t add up to 137. Be sure of your reporting please.
The teachers from that school are also failures together with their pupils…The county education officers from bomet are also failures. They should have identified long time what the problems are in that school and take actions….The parents, teachers and the children from that school should be investigated with a view to addressing the problem
We are not stupid enough to be lied for check on those marks again then next time be smart.
A true reflection of their Teachers
Eight years posting above results ! Are the teachers serious ? Really !
kama ni kweli, then, woe unto those teachers. Really… even after spending 8 nyears or more in primary school, What a score?
Mtoto umleavyo ndivyo akuavyo, This is how those learners were nurtured in the school environment by their qualified trained teachers, Who is to blame?
The headteachers is the school .When he sleeps, the other teachers and staff will help him sleep the more.
May I believe that in every year, there are best performers and least performers.May I also believe that professionals understands how nakedness can drive a low achiever. Is there any way of helping this low performers to encourage them gain life like Ben Curson the Neurosurgeon please. I hope we are after the future of the child . I wish the wellness could take over and make it confidential.
