14 Knut branch secretaries staring at dismissal after losing crucial court case

14 Knut branch secretaries staring at dismissal after losing crucial court case

Fourteen Knut branch secretaries have suffered a blow after Labour and Relations court dismissed a petition they filed challenging TSC disciplinary process. They fourteen were seeking immunity from TSC disciplinary chamber. While issueing the judgement Justice Radido directed the disciplinary process to begin against the fourteen who are accused of disrupting CBC training which took place during the April holidays.

TSC represented by Timon Oyucho maintained that the executive secretaries remain full time employees of the commission and are subject to all disciplinary regulations of the commission.

Justice Radido while dismissing the petition asserted that the petitioners are on secondment as they remain answerable to TSC.

This is a big blow to the team who argued that they are no longer TSC employees but TSC challenged the legality and maintained that they are full time employees only that are on unpaid leave hence can be withdrawn when deemed so.

The fourteen Knut branch secretaries are;

  1. Aggrey Murumba Namisi
  2. Maurice Mmbangwa Challenga
  3. James Kizito Wekesa
  4. Tom Ben Ingolo
  5. Josephat Lidwaya Lubanga
  6. Tungani Albert Shukhule
  7. Eliud Ombori
  8. Elly Korinko
  9. Patrick Chungani
  10. Robert Fukwo Mandila
  11. Bashir Mohammed Kilalo
  12. Gabriel Kisilu
