All schools in Tanzania will reopen tomorrow on June 29 after three months of closure due to the novel coronavirus.
Tanzania will be the first country in East Africa to reopen schools after announcement by president Magufuli over a week ago.
On June 1, universities in the country resumed educational activities with hygiene rules put in place by the country’s Health Ministry.
This comes at a time when Kenya postponed reopening of schools to September. CS George Magoha has emphasized that schools will only reopen if coronavirus cases go down. He also said he will be directed by experts advise if or not schools will reopen in September.
Kenyans coronavirus cases have been increaing the number now standing at six thousand and seventy cases. The number of those who have recovered now at one thousand and seventy one while deaths from the deadly virus has reached one hundred and forty three.
Tanzania will be a case study of it’s successful then Corona is business in Kenya
May God protect the young angels I don’t think this is the right thing especially involving kids
People have got no stand at all..they are yelling that there is no corona at all… but when Tz has opened up schools they are saying that magufuli is joking with the life of kids…where is your stand .. corona is live or not live???close schools, churches and economy Mr President Uhuru Kenyatta for the next 5 yrs..watu hawana msimamo
I hope there will be no regrets following this move
All the best Tanzania
Tanzanias education even if opened 8 years before other countries in East Africa will still be the last when others open so let them go ahead and experiment with the lives of their children.
That is the problem of giving perfectionist like Magoha. He should have remained as chairman of KNEC. Tanzanian President is Right. I wish I was a Tanzanian. Magoha anataka tukule nini sisi walimu???
Whether you delay opening or not Corona will be with us. So think objectively. Let me ask what have we done to prevent it’s spread? When the police is not around people are going without precautions. The risk management has not involved the community. Let us stop following blindly countries in the polar regions
