And as KNUT pushes for dialogue with the ministry, Kewota last week secured an appointment with Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha. Angered by the development, Sossion extended the affiliation ban to all KNUT female members.
He said female teachers in KNUT will chose to align with the union or quit to join the new outfit.
“You cannot be in KNUT and also be in that association. Our constitution is clear. It has a gender desk and those who want to champion their rights can do through existing structures,” said Sossion.
And Friday, Muthoni dared the union to eject the women teachers from the union.
