Guide to TSC number registration and teacher registration certificate

TEACHER REGISTRATION PROCESS

STEP 1. ACESS THE REGISTRATION PAGE
-Go to www.tsc.go.ke
-Select teachersonline services
-Click on “New Teacher Registration Citizen

STEP 2. PROVIDE PERSONAL INFORMATION
-Enter ID or passport number
-Input your surname

-Provide your Mobile phone number
-Provide your email address ( OTP will be sent to this email address to confirm)

-Enter KRA Pin
-select your category eg ECDE, Primary or Post-Primary

-Confirm trained teaching status
-Click next.

STEP 3. EMAIL VERIFICATION
-You’ll receive an OTP in your email.
-Verify by inputing the OTP as prompted on the application page.

STEP 4. COMPLETE BASIC DETAILS
-Fill mandatory fields for permanent and current address.
-Click next to save and proceed.

STEP 5. UPLOAD CERTIFICATES
-Upload primary, secondary and tertiary certificates each at a time.

-Capture the starting year, certificate number, ending year and the name of the institution.
-Click next after uploading all the required certificates.

STEP 6. UPLOAD ADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS.
-Upload other documents like KRA PIN certificate, Gp69, ID card, passport photo, transcripts, Good conduct certificate etc.

-Give a description of each certificate eg If you upload KRA PIN, just indicate the description as KRA PIN.
-click next to proceed.

STEP 7. FINALIZE, SUBJECT DETAILS AND PAYMENT.

-Enter your main subject eg Kiswahili, it’s KCSE grade and hours trained.
-Enter your second subject eg CRE, it’s KCSE grade and hours trained.

-indicate whether you have ever been dismissed, convicted etc.
-Click next to proceed.

-You will be directed to a new page with payment modes.
-click on your preferred mode eg Mpesa
-input your mobile phone number
-click pay.

-a payment prompt will appear on your phone requesting you to insert your Mpesa pin to complete payment of Ksh 1055 through E-citizen. Input your pin.
-on the payment window, click COMPLETE PAYMENT.

A new page will emerge with all your details. Print and save the document for reference and record.

At this point, you have completed your application process. Take a glass of warm water and relax as you wait for processing of your TSC number to be completed.

To trace the progress, go to teachersonline and click Registration Status.
Input your ID number and click search. If the process hasn’t been completed, it will indicate “In Progress”

Once your documents have been verified and have been found to be okay, it will indicate “VERIFIED”

After verification, you will only wait for a few days and your TSC number will be sent to you through an SMS while the certificate will be sent to you through the email.

At this point your Registration Status will be “REGISTERED”
