Deputy primary school headteachers will not get travel expenses stipend paid by Knec to contracted professionals who include teachers, drivers, and security personnel.
A Knec official has hinted that the deputy school heads will not get the dues because they don’t incur travel expenses during the KCPE and KPSEA exam period.
Knec pays teachers who serve as supervisors, invigilators and centre managers for the exams. Teachers are also contracted as examiners for marking of these national exams.
In this years exams, deputy headteachers were used as centre managers for the grade 6 KPSEA exams.
In a new rule this year, the deputy headteachers were required to remain in school for the KCPE and KPSEA exams.
Previously the deputy headteachers were not required to be around school compound during these exams.
This saw many deputy heads applying and get contracted as supervisors and invigilators of the national exams.

Ati deputies don’t do what???ati they don’t move???if you count the steps we make & the movements we make to make sure everything is in order haungesema hivyo!!After all si hata deputy kutoka kwake he/she made movements. Sawa tu,knec msitulipe,GOD has already paid us in full.
Deputy Headteachers don’t live in school. They also commute.
God pays us in a different way , where money can not pay us . Always when it comes to monetary gain a teacher should get ,boom!! Debate starts . Deputies were there for four days we worked and dear God please pay us as you always do.
Was surprised that I was not given anywhere to sign despite working……hehehee
The battle is yours God.

This is a country of man-eat-man. How I wished you knew how difficult for one to handle candidates who have already lost hope in getting anything tangible in exams.
Okay
Very bad decision by knec
Knec can keep their peanuts. No wonder education sector is the most desperate state department. Led by poverty mentality stakeholders. Developed nations cussion knowledge sources- schools. Meet Kenyan teacher..ever worried. But don’t blame TSC or knec anyway. These institutions are led by men and women who suffered economically for long till they nolonger decipher the essence of being economically sound – lack syndrome.
In God’s hands and mercy we remain for He is the only one who sees our work.Dear ones,do it for God for He knows where our reward is.
D/HT do alot to keep order as the HT goes to collect exam at sub county centres.During exams pupils have high tensions and if DHT go away things can go bdly.
Pay them too. If they supervised other schools they would have been paid.

That’s a deal gone. I waited to sign claim but it never was. God have mercy on us.
That’s a deal gone. I waited to sign the claim form but it never happened. And the way we kept order to make the exercise move smoothly. God have mercy on us.
Bottom up government in working.
I am shocked that deputies don’t make movements!! Kwani deputies wamejengewa nyumba shuleni. Isitoshe mzunguko around the school to ensure everything is in order, Wacha tu. Surely, it’s only God who pays us
I wish they pay them . But if wishes were horses , every beggar would ride.
Deputies God has already paid you in Full
