The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has released the recruitment guidelines for both primary and post primary school teachers.
According to the guidelines which include the scoresheet, intern teachers have been awarded based on the period they have served.
Teachers who have served on internship for a period of three years have been awarded 15 marks. Those who have served for two years have been awarded 10 marks while those serving for the first year have received 5 marks.
The intern teachers must produce evidence of internship during TSC recruitment intervies. The evidence include letter of internship and a copy of the latest payslip.
This latest move has caused panic especially to teachers who are serving as interns for the first time.
Most intern teachers thought the Commission would award them 30 marks for serving as interns.
However after an uproar from unemployed teachers opposed the previous scoresheet which gave intern teachers 30 marks the Commission has responded by slashing the marks.
Most teachers said it was not their fault not to serve as interns. They said the internship slots are limited and its not possible for all of them to be absorbed as interns.
Fair enough
Still unfair to people who graduated way back to 2009 coz of grouping them with 2015,,,and scoring the same marks
Where is the remaining 10marks awarded
QUITE UNFAIR TO THOSE WHO GRADUATED WAY BEFORE AND HAVE NOT BEEN EMPLOYED SINCE ON EARTH WILL THEY GET MONEY FOR UPGRADE?
the clustering is still unfair coz those who graduated in 2015 to be grouped with those who graduated in 2010 and before discourages alot mostly to those who have never blessed to get even internship. kindly consider this. they are suffering alot.
Tsc are not fair as per the score sheet,it should be 2012 and below
Tsc please this time round we need transparency
