Knec set 13th May as last day for registration of DPTE, DECTE students for assessment

The Kenya National Examination Counci (Knec) has said it will not extend further the deadline for Diploma upgrading students to register for the national assessments.

Knec had initially, through a circular, set 6th May 2022 as the last date for registration.

Knec had also ordered Principals of Teacher Training Colleges (TTCs) to submit the registration documents to the Teacher Education Section KNEC Offices, New Mitihani House, South C in Nairobi by 13th May, 2022.

However after an uproar from teacher trainees who said the period was short and they are not prepared with payment monies the date was revised.

The trainee teachers are also complaining of assessment centres which are far where they will have to dig deeper into their pockets to manage the set assessment period.

Knec after listening to the complaints revised the registration timelines and set 13th May as the last date for registration of the trainee teachers.

Below is a circular by Knec that was sent to all Principals of Teacher Training Colleges (TTC).
