Teachers employed by Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will contribute through deductions from their payslip 1.5% of their salaries that will go towards the housing fund.
The contribution starts from 1st July 2023. Yesterday President William Ruto signed into law, the controversial Finance Bill 2023, which was passed by the National Assembly, hence making the contribution mandatory.
Teachers will see 1.5 per cent of their basic salary missing in their July payslip. Many teachers do not know how much this translates to.

Any salary increments? How will the teachers servive and the many loans they have forced by circumstances? They are like the Kenya itself.. debts,a debtor been forced to pay others debts! God help us.
Too painful for the Kenyan worker. ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
This government will be the worst regime in the world. A government that doesn’t care.the government that will cause alot suffering to teachers and civil servants. A very useless government with useless leaders who only care about their stomachs. Most of the mps and other elected leaders who supported this bill will never see their seats again.Nobody who is normal can support such a bill only the insane who don’t know that Kenyans are suffering.a very useless government
