TSC should look at the word ‘JUNIOR’and consider the teachers who made efforts and upgraded their grades. The University requirements for one to enroll for a degree was a P1 certificate with two years of teaching experience, C plain in KCSE and C+ in two teaching subjects. These teachers sat for exams at the University and passed, went for teaching practice and were declared competent, graduated as qualified degree holders. Why should the TSC consider such teachers unfit to teach grade seven when they have been teaching them up to std 8? Is it because of the word ‘SECONDARY’.
The university admission requirements was P1 and two teaching subjects. We call upon tsc to upgrade these Kenyans to be be deployed to secondary and to have their salty upgraded. My take.
Are we supposed to pay admission fee for junior secondary student considering that they are still on the same school (public)
I mean, y I’m I supposed to pay admission fee in a public school
No fees for jss day schoolars yet head teachers are asking for money.this system is a great burden to the parents in the current economic crisis🙄🙄
Just do away with this untimely thought of CBC and Junior Secondary. Instead empower and equip 8-4-4 system and ensure learners who had started this system accomplish their studies in the same system. If you must change to CBC, let it begin from playgroup progressively. This will give sufficient time for teachers to train and prepare enough for the new system and also make it easy for learners to grow and get acquainted in the system then give good returns.
There isn’t any change in facilities and structure to call parents and even the Government to pay such exorbitant amounts of money to junior secondary schools. That should have been done after 2 years. It is my take as requirements have changed much its only titles have changed. ie JSS.
1.How many years are they going to take in the junior secondary?
2. Must parents buy a locker for each of his/her child joining grade 7?
My worry is that whenever they transit to the next level, the requirements change. Hence making burden too heavy for the parents. Why don’t they continue with the same uniforms of the same primary schools till the end of junior secondary? Parents are overwhelmed.
There is fees for JSS to cater for lunch and cooks.
My question to the government is, are the parents in private school pay for grade seven fee? Am surprised the government said we have paid each pupil 15000 which means all the learners and yet private school headteachers are on our necks demanding for money
These system is a scam from its time of genesis. It is good for private school owners only. On the other hand,it is creating confusion of the highest order. We are just messing with our young brains for nothing. We must rethink again and urgently.
What if my child don’t have namis number or upi number
Is 15k for 1 term or a year?
