Its World Teachers Day 2022. Its a day for honoring teachers for their great sacrifices to make the world a greater place.
Today is that day to celebrate the teachers for their immense contribution in our societies. As one scholar once said, ‘every great mind was once taught by some brilliant teachers’.
The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) being the largest teacher employer in Kenya has led celebrations of teachers from Nairobi.
TSC CEO Dr Nancy Njeri Macharia has also unleashed a message to teachers thanking them and wishing them the best.
Macharia mostly thanked teachers for withstanding the challenges brought about by Covid-19 pandemic and the August General Elections.
“From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of the Teachers Service Commission, I most sincerely thank the teaching fraternity for withstanding challenges caused by the twin disruptions of COVID-19 and the just concluded General Election to ensure school programmes are firmly on track. I applaud our exceptional teachers. ” said Macharia today.
