A teacher in Njoro, Nakuru County was on Friday caught red-handed sexually assaulting his pupil at school by his colleague. An assistant chief confirmed the incident and said the teacher was arrested by police.
“The school had been closed the previous day and there were only Standard Eight pupils at school preparing for the national examinations when the incident occurred,” the chief said.
The teacher lured the girl to a staffroom early Friday morning and assaulted her, the chief said. The Standard Eight pupil was taken to a hospital for medical attention. Investigations are underway and the suspect is in police custody.
