The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) will post the recently newly recruited teachers to their new schools from next month upto the month of January next year.
Sources from the Commission indicate that the posting letters for teachers recruited under replacement are ready and have started to be dispatched to various TSC sub county offices.
All teachers recruited as replacement will be posted to their new stations in September. However teachers recruited under ‘additional’ category may wait longer as the Commission plans to post some of them upto January 2023.
According to TSC recruitment roadmap successful teachers are to be posted to their new stations of work early September this year.
However the employment forms filled by successful TSC recruits indicate that some teachers will have to wait upto January next year.

According to tradition TSC takes at least three months (from date of filling employment forms) for verification of documents at the Headquarters before posting teachers to their new schools.
However it will take shorter time this round due to acute shortage of teachers in primary and secondary schools.
The new recruits will have their employment letters soon before being posted to their new station of work where they will have their casualty filled online to enable the Commission to put them on payroll.
The unemployment crisis in the country is such huge with over 356,000 jobless teachers putting in applications for the 14,000 jobs advertised by the TSC last month.
For each of the advertised positions, only the top five candidates were shortlisted, in a departure from the past when long merit lists would be developed.
Post-primary teaching vacancies attracted the highest number of applicants with 219,311 teachers expressing interest in the 4,000 new vacancies available.
Out of the advertised 1,000 new vacancies for primary school teachers, the commission received 136,833 applications.
TSC also advertised 8,230 vacancies to replace teachers who quit the service through natural attrition.
The vacancies are both in primary schools (6,539) and post-primary institutions (1,691) attracted 327,882 applications.
