Ministry extend Grade 10 selection exercise issue schools with passwords

The Grade 10 selection exercise will temporarily be extended to allow schools complete selection of senior schools, pathways and subjects combinations for their Grade 9 learners.

Initially the exercise had been planned to end on 30th June but the system was marred with glitches and schools were not able to carry out the selection.

Then the Ministry of Education addressed the challenges by generating login passwords for each school.

Schools were asked to use the school Knec centre code as username and provided passwords to login to the system.

Then it extended the deadline to 15th July 2025. However still many schools are yet to complete the selection exercise fingers pointed to the inefficient system.

A top education officer from the Ministry of Education has revealed that the exercise will be extended as many schools are yet to complete the selection exercise acknowledging the system challenges.
