The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) has invited teachers and other educators to apply for subject panel membership in senior secondary school.
In the advert KICD has listed key requirements one must possess to be eligible for the membership.
Senior school constitutes Grade 10, 11 and 12 and will start in January 2026.
The current Grade 9 learners will transition to senior school in January after sitting for KJSEA in November this year.
KICD has given applicants till Friday, 14th February, 2025 to manually submit their applications with relevant documents.

APPLICATIONS FOR PANEL MEMBERSHIP IN LEARNING AREAS AT SENIOR SCHOOL
The Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) is mandated, among others, to develop, review and approve curricula, programmes and curriculu support materials for all levels of Education except the University.
The institute is also mandated to evaluate, vet and approve, for application in Kenya, any local and foreign curricula and curriculum support materials in relationto the levels of Education and Trainings.
The institute undertakes its mandate through stakeholders engagement using the panel system.
In this regard, the KICD invites teachers, teacher educators (in colleges and universities) and professional in the industry with relevant qualifications and experience to apply for membership in subject panels for Senior School.
Applicants should possess the following basic qualifications;
a) Certified as teacher of any of the subjects offered at Senior School/teacher training institution
b) Duly registered by the Teachers Service Commission and/or a relevant professional body in case on professionals in the industry.
c) Have a minimum of five years experience as a teacher, tutor/instructor, lecturer at the secondary school level, college, university or industry respectively.
d) Previous experience as a panelist should be indicated.
e) Experience as examiners with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNCE) and/or other relevant internationally recognized examination bodies will be an added advantage.
Applicants should submit letters forwarded by the Heads of Institutions and attach copies of relevant certificates and testimonials.
All applications with the relevants suport documents as well as testimonials should be addressed to the undersigned and reach the KICD by Friday, 14th February, 2025.
