Midrift Human Rights Network has suffered a blow after Nakuru High Court judge declined to issue orders to bar reappointment of Dr Nancy Macharia as TSC boss. The group had asked the high court judges to stop Dr Nancy from carrying her duties till the case is concluded but their request was rejected after they failed to convince the judges.
The group which had gone to court after what they term TSC failure to advertise the post and competitively fill the position failed to get orders that would see the TSC boss barred from assuming office.
Last week President Uhuru Kenyatta renewed Dr. Nancy Macharias term even after LSK through its chair Mr Nelson Havi wrote to the Attorney General to protest the move. Dr Nancy Macharia has been TSC boss for the last five years and is expected to finish her last term if the courts will dismiss the activists petition.

Last week Mr Sossion through a Knut circular distanced himself from claims that Knut is behind the move to oust Macharia from the TSC CEO position.
The final verdict on the petition will be on 22 July when fate on who will be TSC boss will be determined.
