RE: 2021 UNIVERSAL POSTAL CORPORATION UNION LETTER WRITING COMPETITION
The Postal Corporation of Kenya is corporate body duly established under the Postal Corporation of Kenya Act ,1998 and licensed accordingly to operate as the public Postal licensee by the communication Authority of Kenya in accordance with section 51 of the Kenya communications Act.1998.
Postal Corporation of Kenya is a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) which is the governing body of all postal administration worldwide.
The competition aims to promote literacy among the world’s children through the art of letter writing.
UPU is pleased to announce the 2021 Students’ letter Writing Competition; which culminates in awarding of the winners during the World Post day in October of every year.
The 2021 topic is “write a letter to a family member about your experience of Covid-19”.
Writing guidelines to students
• Do not type your work.
• It should be in your own original handwriting.
• Write legibly and neatly.
• Not more than 1000 words
• Participants should be between the age of 9-15 years
Awards
The UPU will award winners as follows
1 gold medal
2. silver
3. bronze
